The Rise of Individuality + AI in the workforce: Understanding the Collective Shift Happening Now
We are moving into a collective era that gives power to the people through individual reclamation.
I mentioned this briefly in episode 1, but I want to dive much deeper into what this actually means today because I think understanding these shifts can help you make sense of why everything feels so... different right now. And more importantly, why stepping into your own sovereignty isn't just a nice idea - it's becoming essential for navigating what's ahead.
So there's been a lot of talk about us now being in the Age of Aquarius. Although, I have to tell you, the astrological jury is still out on that one because astrologers cannot agree on the timing. Some say we're in this era right now, others say we're not going to get there for another 150 years or so. It's kind of hilarious actually how much debate there is about this. However…
What we CAN agree on is that Pluto is in Aquarius for the next 20 years, and when Pluto - the planet of death, rebirth, and complete transformation - is in the sign of revolution and progress, things tend to change on a massive collective scale.
The last time Pluto was in Aquarius? We saw the French Revolution and the American Revolutionary War leading to the creation of the United States. So we're talking about major shifts of power - from monarchies to the people, from institutions to democracy. Fundamental restructuring of how society operates.
We'll likely see similar themes play out over the next two decades. And honestly, we're already seeing the beginning of this. Old power structures being questioned, institutions losing trust, people demanding more autonomy and transparency. Sound familiar?
But here's what I find really fascinating - and this is the second HOWEVER - we're not solely moving into an era of the collective. It's also the rise of individuality. And this has everything to do with the sign of Aries and also the next global cycle according to Human Design.
So let's break down all these different cosmic pieces that are shaping our current world and the future one as well, because they're all connected and they all point to the same thing: it's time to step into your own power.
Aquarius: The Collective Revolution
As I mentioned, when Pluto is in Aquarius, there is death and rebirth happening on a collective scale. Pluto is an intense planet. It doesn't do anything halfway. It reveals hidden truths, exposes what's been lurking in the shadows, and it destroys in order to renew. Think of it like clearing out a house that's been accumulating junk for decades - you have to tear everything apart before you can rebuild it properly. You have to LOOK at all the junk, see it for what it really is.
And Aquarius is the sign of progress, innovation, and change. Aquarius is all about humanitarianism - it genuinely wants what's best for the collective, for humanity as a whole. But here's the thing about Aquarius: it isn't one to conform. Aquarius does things in its own unique way. It's the rebel with a cause, the visionary who sees a better future and isn't afraid to break the rules to get there.
So when you combine Pluto's transformative power with Aquarius' revolutionary spirit, you get massive societal change. The kind that makes people uncomfortable because it challenges everything we thought was stable and permanent.
But what I see shaping that change for the collective is people stepping into their individuality. This is not an era for conformity. That's all been done, and honestly? It's made most of us feel limited, restricted, like we're trying to squeeze ourselves into boxes that were never designed to fit us in the first place.
The new paradigm isn't about everyone following the same path or adhering to the same structures. It's about each person finding their own authentic way and contributing their unique gifts to the collective good. It's individual sovereignty serving collective evolution.
Aries: The Rise of the Individual
Now let's talk about Aries, because this is where things get really interesting.
Aries is the sign of independence. It loves sovereignty, initiation, and taking bold action. As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries can be looked at as the youngest child in the cosmic family - a little bit naive, sure, but because of that it can dive head first into things and worry about the consequences later. It's this very raw, unfiltered power. Pure initiative.
And I need to pause here and remind you of something I said in episode 1: individuality should not get confused with individualism and egotism. Those are very different things. When I talk about individuality, I'm talking about sovereignty. I'm talking about being true to yourself, honoring your unique design, following your own path instead of conforming to someone else's idea of what you should be doing.
Individualism and egotism are about putting yourself above others, only caring about your own gain. That's not what this cosmic shift is asking for. This is about collective revolution through individual reclamation. It's about each person standing in their own truth so we can collectively create something better.
So what happens when we have two major planets in the sign of Aries at the same time, and they also form a conjunction at 0 degrees? Let me tell you, because this is huge.
Neptune in Aries: The Spiritual Warrior
Neptune moved into Aries on the 26th of January and it will stay there until 2038. This energy is all about the spiritual warrior. The sovereign fighter. Fighting for what you believe in, but from a place of spiritual conviction rather than ego.
Neptune is the planet of dreams, spirituality, intuition, and transcendence. It dissolves boundaries and connects us to something greater than ourselves. When Neptune is in Aries, it's asking us to dream about who we can become as individuals. To envision our own empowered future and then have the courage to pursue it.
This is the energy of the mystic who takes action. The dreamer who doesn't just fantasize but actually builds. It's spiritual empowerment manifested in the physical world.
Saturn in Aries: Building Your Sovereign Self
Now, Saturn in Aries is a bit more complicated because technically Saturn doesn't do well in Aries. In astrological terms, we say that Saturn is in its fall here, meaning it's uncomfortable in this sign. Why? Because Saturn is all about taking your time, making sure everything is in order, laying the groundwork and foundations. Saturn wants long-term success, sustainable structures. It doesn't rush things. It's the wise elder.
Aries, on the other hand, is restless and impatient. It wants to go first and it wants to go NOW. Aries asks "What's taking so long?" while Saturn is still drawing up the blueprints. So as you can see, it becomes a bit of a clash when these two energies meet.
However - and this is important - we can see this energy as a time of laying the foundation of our future selves. In a time of rising individuality, Saturn in Aries offers a structured, grounded way of being true to our innermost core. Saturn in Aries is asking us to take responsibility for ourselves. It's asking us to build something real and lasting based on who we truly are, not who we think we should be.
No one is coming to save you. It's up to you to create your own path. And Saturn is here to help you do that in a way that actually lasts.
The Saturn-Neptune Conjunction: A Cosmic Reset
Here's where it gets really powerful.
Saturn loves boundaries. Neptune does not. These two planets have completely opposite energies - one wants structure, the other wants dissolution. One builds walls, the other tears them down.
The last time we had a conjunction between Saturn and Neptune was in the late degrees of Capricorn back in 1989. And what happened then? We saw very specific boundaries being dissolved - the Berlin Wall fell, the Soviet Union collapsed, the entire Iron Curtain over Eastern Europe came down. Massive structures that seemed permanent just... dissolved.
This time, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction takes place at 0 degrees of Aries on February 20th, 2026. So it’s just a week away when this episode is released. This is MAJOR. Two major planetary players starting a brand new cycle at the very first degree of the very first sign of the zodiac. This feels like a reset button for humanity. Collectively, yes, but also individually.
So wherever you have Aries in your chart, this marks a major starting point for you. It's time to dream yet also be realistic in this area of your life. To envision what's possible but also put in the work to make it real.
If you're an Aries Sun, Moon, or Rising, this will be felt on a more personal level for you - it's literally happening to your core identity or emotional world. But also, since my work is all about career and business mentorship, I want to point out something specific: this is a major reset in the career realm if you have a water sign rising. So if you're a Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces rising, Aries rules one of your work houses in your chart. That’s the 2nd house of money, the 6th house of your daily work and service to others, and 10th house of career and public image. This conjunction marks a new beginning in your career and vocation. It's time to rebuild how you work, what you do, and how you show up professionally - from the ground up, based on your authentic self.
Human Design and the 2027 Shift
Now let me bring Human Design into this conversation, because it's pointing to the exact same themes.
In Human Design, we talk about global cycles - these are collective energies that work like background frequencies. They shape our society, our relationships, how we relate to one another, and each cycle lasts for centuries. The cycle we've been in since 1615 - yes, 1615, over 400 years ago - is coming to an end in 2027. The frequency we've collectively been operating under is called The Cross of Planning, and it has what Human Design refers to as tribal or support energies. So we've been in an era where we created systems and structures in our society that we all adhere to - institutions, governments, educational systems, corporate hierarchies. The idea was that if we all follow the plan, if we all work within these structures, we'll be supported and taken care of.
And for a while, that worked. Or at least, it worked well enough for enough people that the system sustained itself. But also as we know, that system hasn’t been supporting for everyone, the system has been taken advantage of by those in power.
In 2027, we're moving into The Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. This is a frequency of individuality. It's asking us to rely on ourselves and not on institutions. It's a time for emotional clarity, for inner truth rather than outside validation or governance. We’ve lived in a society that loves logical answers, making decisions with your mind, but that no longer works. We are being asked to listen within and to what FEELS best for us.
So Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. The Phoenix, right? It burns completely and then rises from its own ashes, transformed. That's what's happening collectively. The old structures are burning down so something new can emerge. This is why we're seeing so much instability in the world right now. Old structures are crumbling, and with that comes turbulence and chaotic energies. It's uncomfortable. It's scary sometimes. But it's also necessary for the transformation that needs to happen.
Moving into this era means we need to - yes, you guessed it - step into sovereignty. Take responsibility for ourselves. It's crucial now that you understand yourself, your design, especially your energy type, strategy, and authority in Human Design, so you can navigate this new world from your own inner knowing rather than looking to external authorities to tell you what to do.
And I want to be really clear about something: self-awareness is not self-indulgent. It's not navel-gazing or being selfish. In a world where the old structures are dissolving, knowing yourself - truly knowing yourself - is how you'll make decisions that are right for you. It's how you'll find your path forward when there's no longer a clear blueprint to follow.
Pluto in Aquarius and AI: The Technological Revolution
Let's circle back to Pluto in Aquarius for a moment, because we need to talk about the elephant in the room - or should I say, the robot in the room.
Aquarius is also the sign of innovation and technology. And we've already seen the explosive rise of AI over the past couple of years. This isn't coincidental. Pluto in Aquarius has gotten everyone talking about a people's revolution, but there's also a lot of conversation - and frankly, a lot of fear - about AI and robots "taking over" our jobs, our economy, maybe even our humanity.
Over the past year, I've been reading articles and listening to podcasts about this massive shift, and I want to share some of what I've learned because I think it's important to look at this realistically.
One of the biggest concerns is about entry-level jobs. How can young people fresh out of college get a foot in the door when AI is already doing entry-level work? How are they going to get the experience they need to move up to higher levels if they can't even access that first step of the ladder? I was listening to the Wall Street Journal’s podcast episode from November 20th of last year about this new era of layoffs, and it was eye-opening. Companies are almost competing with each other on how quickly they can lower their headcount. It's become a badge of honor in some circles to be "lean" and "efficient" - which often just means replacing humans with AI. The prediction is that most administrative jobs will be affected first. Customer service, data entry, basic analysis, scheduling, even some aspects of marketing and content creation. Jobs that follow patterns and can be systematized are the most vulnerable.
Now, the job market is absolutely going to change. Right now, while the AI bubble is at the top of everyone's mind and every company's game plan, things are going to be chaotic. There will be growing pains. Listening to that podcast made me think that in everyone's eagerness to adapt to AI, some jobs and some people are definitely gonna be affected and be on the losing end of things. But I also believe that eventually, a recalibration will take place.
Here's why: when white-collar jobs disappear en masse, it creates a problem that extends way beyond individual unemployment. When you have a large group of people who were previously earning good money and consuming - buying homes, going on vacations, supporting local businesses - suddenly without jobs, that affects the entire economy. You can't have a functioning consumer economy without consumers who can afford to consume. So companies will have to figure out how to balance efficiency with economic sustainability. This might take a few years of chaos to work out, but it will work out because it has to.
The Future: Preparation, Not Fear
Now, I want to be really clear about something: this episode is not about fear-mongering. I'm not here to scare you or make you panic about the future. I'm here to prepare you. The shift has already begun. We're in it right now. And now it's up to you to decide: do you want to adapt and move with this shift, or do you want to fight against it and resist what's already happening?
Here's what I know for certain: humanity and the need for human connection will never go away.
In fact, I believe it's going to become especially important now. As AI takes over more of the routine, pattern-based work, what becomes valuable is what AI can't replicate - genuine human connection, creativity, intuition, empathy, lived experience, wisdom. The things that make us uniquely human become our greatest assets.
So if you're one of those people who feels ready to move with this shift and not fight against it, here's what I want you to keep in mind:
If you feel ready to step into sovereignty in the form of entrepreneurship - whether that's leaving traditional employment entirely or creating a side business while you figure things out - your offers will be better off including some sort of human connection.
This is where coaching, mentoring, consulting, hands-on services, community building, and creative work really shine. These are areas where people will pay for the human touch, for your specific perspective and experience, for the relationship they build with you.
AI can generate a generic business plan, but it can't mentor you through your specific fears about starting your business while you're also navigating a divorce and trying to figure out childcare. A human mentor who's been there can.
AI can create a workout plan, but it can't motivate you on the days you want to quit, or celebrate with you when you hit a milestone, or adjust the approach based on reading your energy in the moment. A human coach can.
AI can design a logo, but it can't understand the emotional story behind your brand or help you articulate why your business exists beyond making money. A human creative director can.
Do you see what I mean? The future belongs to people who can combine their humanity with technology, not people who try to compete with technology at what it does best.
Your Cosmic Invitation
So here's what all of this cosmic activity is really saying to us:
The old structures that told you there was one right way to do things? They're dissolving.
The institutions that promised to take care of you if you just followed the rules? They're transforming or crumbling.
The career paths that seemed stable and predictable? They're being disrupted.
And yes, that's uncomfortable. Yes, it's scary. But it's also the most liberating cosmic invitation we've had in centuries. You get to choose your own path now. You get to build a life and career based on who you actually are, not who the system needs you to be.
Neptune in Aries is asking you to dream about who you could become if you stopped playing it safe.
Saturn in Aries is asking you to build something real based on your authentic self.
The Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0 degrees Aries is offering you a complete reset - a chance to start fresh.
Pluto in Aquarius is tearing down the old power structures so new, more equitable ones can emerge.
And the Human Design shift in 2027 is confirming that this is about individual sovereignty serving collective evolution.
This isn't happening TO you. This is happening FOR you. For all of us.
